Engraving

Here at Cobwood we have a number of fully computer controlled engraving machines so that you can be assured that your engraving will be completed to an accurate and consistent standard.

We are able to use computer graphics for engraving company logos, sporting insignia, badges and shields.

We can accept your data in a number of standard computer graphic formats or can work a design up from your own printed graphics or sketches

We can engrave onto one of the many items of stock we carry or can quote to engrave onto items from elsewhere

Glass Etching

Using our own inhouse etching facilities all manner of designs can be added to glassware, glass trophies, or even plain window or mirror glass (size restrictions apply ).

A sacrificial mask (as shown in the picture to the right) is fixed to the glass item prior to starting the etching process. This ensures a clean sharp transfer of your required image to the article in question.

Bespoke Work

We have huge experience of creating unique mementoes for work colleagues or sporting club members rather than buying a stock item. For instance the traditional British Bobby used to have his own wooden truncheon (with all the marks and war wounds from down the years!!) specially mounted on an engraved plinth to commemerate his time in the Force. Cobwood were happy to oblige in creating this unique memento.

Unfortunately times move on and when a policemen retires these days he has to hand his aluminium 'night stick' back into the Police stores. Undaunted Cobwood have managed to find a supplier that carefully turns reproduction wooden truncheons on a lathe, these are stained and varnished at Cobwood, so that the retiring policeman can still have a memory of their 'enforcer' mounted and engraved in the traditional manner!
